John Cole grew up in West End and has lived in this area since he was 5 years old. He's been married to his beautiful wife Alice, who helps run the business, since 1990 and has 2 boys, Eli is a graduate from East Carolina University with a Vocal Performance degree, currently living in Cary, NC. Seth will graduate summer of 2021 from NC State University with a Masters in Electrical Engineering, then will be residing in Virginia.

John started in law enforcement, spending the first 8 years of his career with the Pinehurst Police Dept. The next 8 years was spent with the Forensic Test for Alcohol Branch with the State of North Carolina. John began his plumbing career by helping another plumber and after a few years (in 2000) he left the state and started his first plumbing business.

In 2009 it was time to seperate and open John Cole’s Plumbing Professionals. JCPP started with one van and only himself to do the work. As of today they have 33 vehicles and 45 employees. John and Alice feel truly blessed to have grown this much in such a short time.

John Cole’s Plumbing Professionals is a service based company, who strive to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of every customer. This dedication to excellence is one of the reasons they have been voted Best Plumbing Company in Best of the Pines 2 years in a row. They are licensed and insured and specialize in residential and commercial service. They also work with several of local contractors to install plumbing for residential and commercial new construction.

"Honesty and integrity are words you hear a lot when dealing in the service industry, everyone claims to have it. Here, I tell the employees to simply “do what’s right”. The good ole “golden Rule” Treat people the way you would want to be treated. Also communication is so important, most people understand if you’re going to be late as long as you let them know. It’s the customer who expects you at a certain time that gets upset when you are not there and you haven’t called to let them know. Minutes seem like hours. The bottom line is we want to be professional in all areas of this business not just the plumbing side."

"My wife found a saying on the computer a while back that said “you think it’s expensive to hire a professional, wait until you hire an amateur.” This is very true, make sure the people you hire are licensed and insured. Make sure they have a good reputation in the community. Low bid is not always a good thing. My goal has never been to be the cheapest plumber in town, but rather the best."

Community Involvement:
In addition to his years as a law enforcement officer John is a sponsor of several community fund raising events. Each year the help to raise funds for the Moore County Food Bank and for the last several years John Cole’s Plumbing Professionals has been the sponsor of the Stop Summer Hunger-Day which has collected thousands of dollars, and tons of food for the less fortunate in Moore County.
