We have have teamed with Dr. Jason Graves and the Dentistry of the Pines to provide a list of Kids Camps available for your children this summer.  These camps are created to entertain, educate and maybe most importantly keep them occupied and engaged during the time off from school.  Please use the information below to find the perfect camp for your family.   • Summer Camp Mon. 25 Jun, 2018 (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm) The Pinecones Field Hockey Summer Camp will be held June 25-29 from 6-8pm for all age groups. Our mini sticks (prek-1st grade) will practice for the first hour, while 2nd-8th grade will practice for the full two hours.  Campers will be split up into age groups and will receive instruction from all of our coaches throughout the duration of camp.  Everyone will receive a camp t-shirt! The campers will be led by the UPHS football players in stations, activities, skill development sessions, and game play. The camp will provide skill sessions in: Defense, Offense, and Special Teams. We will also have sessions and speakers on character development, as well as, academic importance. The camp will include a photo shoot opportunity for the kids to try on UPHS jerseys and helmets. Pictures will be distributed on the final day. The camp will be held at UPHS and will be directed by Union Pines coaches and players. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt. This is a great opportunity for the boys and girls to meet the coaches and players. They will also have the opportunity to ask questions and become familiar with the football program at Union Pines.   • It's Sew Easy at Rubies Girls Clubs Mon. 2 Jul, 2018 (9:00 am - 3:00 pm) July 2 – 6: This week is for very first-time sewers and for girls who want to further their sewing skills. There will be beginner training for new girls and new projects for returning girls. The children will be making a mud run one day and rinse off building a water run through the forest the next. There will also be plenty of time for free play and games in the wild. A traditional TimberNook program where young children have unique play experiences that challenge their mind and body in beautiful natural settings, followed by hours of free play out in the wild. The outgoing child will feel success in accomplishing something new (and there is always something new to learn about horses and about ourselves as riders) and the more timid child will open up and try new things while developing a special bond with their horse, and greater self-confidence.   • New Century Middle School Football Camp Tue. 7 Aug, 2018 (5:00 pm - 7:00 pm) New Century Middle School will hold their 2017 Centurion Football Camp on August 7th-10th from 5pm-7pm.  This will be open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  The cost is $30.00.  Please print the form and return it to Coach Clothier at New Century Middle School.  Make checks payable to NCMS.  All participants must have completed a physical before attending the camp.  For more information see the New Century Middle School Football Facebook Page or come to the front office to obtain the correct forms needed for this camp.
