Nursing home hero nominated for TV award

Justin Garner, the brave 26-year-old Carthage Policeman who ended the killing spree of Mass-Murderer Robert Stewart a year ago, has been nominated for the 2009 All-Star Hero Award Given by producers of the television documentary series “America’s Most Wanted.” It was Garner who although himself wounded, brought down Stewart with a single bullet after confronting him in a hallway of the Pinelake Health and Rehabilitation Center.
