FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital has partnered with Pinehurst Surgical to establish a comprehensive Bariatric Surgical Program in the mid-Carolinas. The program offers Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Sleeve Gastrectomy and adjustable gastric band surgical approaches to significant weight loss and maintenance for those suffering from morbid obesity. The FirstHealth Bariatric Center is staffed by an interdisciplinary team and coordinated by a patient navigator and registered dietitian who provide quality education and support, before and after surgery.

FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital is a 395-bed, acute care, not-for-profit hospital that serves as the referral center for a 15-county region in the Carolinas. Located in Pinehurst, N.C., it is the flagship hospital for FirstHealth of the Carolinas, the region’s first comprehensive health care network. With an active of staff of 294, Moore Regional has assisted more than 1,000 bariatric patients.

Pinehurst Surgical is a multi-specialty practice located on FirstHealth Moore Regional campus in Pinehurst. They have been providing bariatric surgery services since 1997 through their clinic which is designed specifically for bariatric patients.
