This is part of a Shoe Drive being conducted by a local Boy Scout, Jake Chandler, for his Eagle Project who is collecting shoes for youth and adults.  Shoes collected are distributed around the world to those in need.  The Fun Walk will begin at 2:30pm with medals given to the first 50 participants.  Registration forms for the walk are available at Village Hall or the day of the event and the cost is $10 per participant.  Donations of shoes are currently being accepted at the Village Hall at 395 Magnolia Road in Pinehurst.  Shoes accepted can be for youth or adults and any type of footwear will be accepted new or old!
