Fatal Accident Victim Identified As Local Volunteer Firefighter

SandhillsTribune.Com - The victim in the fatal vehicle accident in Hoke County Friday has been identified as 22 year old Sarah Stonesifer. The single vehicle accident happened just after 6:00 PM Friday when the victim’s car reportedly rolled over on Stubby Oaks Road near the Moore County and Hoke County lines.

Sarah was a member of the Pinehill Fire Department in the Ashley Heights region in Hoke County and had been working on a controlled burn Friday.  She was on her way back to the fire station from her residence when the accident occurred. Sarah grew up in the Aberdeen area and graduated from Pinecrest High School.
