Sheriff Reports Arrest Of Aberdeen Man For Robbery With Dangerous Weapon

SandhillsTribune.Com - Sheriff Lane Carter reported on February 14, 2013 his office received a report of a robbery from Willis Blackmon from the Aberdeen area of Moore County.  Mr. Blackmon advised he was receiving a package in the mail that was being delivered to his residence when the robbery occurred.

Mr. Blackmon told Sheriff’s Office Investigators that he was approached by two black males from a vehicle parked near his residence. The two males followed him to the front door of his residence, one male pointed a handgun at him and demanded his package. He advised he gave them his package and they fled the scene in the vehicle parked across the road.

On February 21, 2013 Sheriff’s Office Investigators arrested Peter Duncan Rock, 26, of 137 Batchelor Farm Road, Aberdeen, N.C. Rock was charged with one count of felony robbery with a dangerous weapon. Rock was confined in the Moore County Detention Center under a $75,000.00 secured bond. His first appearance in court is scheduled for March 7, 2013 in Moore County District Court in Carthage N.C.
