NC Veterans to be featured in new series

The Veteran Memorial Foundation and A-Argus  Books s announced  today that an agreement has been reached for A-Argus Better Book Publishers to create a new series of books, Unsung Heroes of America containing the personal stories of veterans of America’s wars.

First in the series will be the publication, Unsung Heroes of the Tar Heel State, which will contain an estimated fifty stories told in the veterans’ own words. For many veterans it is the first time they have opened their lives so that an unaware but appreciative and audience can share their experiences, commiserate with their losses and bask in their heroism. Veterans from all corners of North Carolina will be featured and their courageous experiences shared with a grateful public.

Proceeds from the sale of the books will directly benefit the Veteran Memorial Foundation and copies of the book will be used as fund-raisers for other veteran assistance groups around the nation.
Henry L. Grider, President of Veteran Memorial Foundation (www.thevmf.org), an IRS approved 501-c-3 non-profit to aid homeless and needy veterans, announced that the book is expected to be released on or before Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2012, and will be available at most book stores or online at barnesandnoble.com, amazon.com, booksamillion.com or can be preordered from publisher’s website at www.a-argusbooks.com. Volume I, The Warriors,  will contain a forward written by Congresswoman Renee Ellmers, U.S. House of Representatives, North Carolina 2nd District.
