Great water news for Edgewood residents

Encouraging water news for residents of the Edgewood Terrace Community of West End----their prayers have been answered. When some of the owners of 38 modestly-priced homes whose wells were runni8ng dry, they discovered it would ocst them $10,000.00 each to connect ot the ocunty water system, they were prepared to give up. This week they learned county commissioners had approved a state grant application which would lower the cost to $1,900.00 for each lot owner-an 80-percent reduction. "These people need help," said Board Chairman Larry Caddell. 'Lets do a full court press and get this done."
