Drug argument leads to fatal shooting

A Moore County Resident is accused of fatally shooting one man and trying to kill another at a gathering spot in Eagle Springs. Charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon is 51-year-old Gregory Cooper of Eagle Springs. Dead is 32-year-old Ajul Opsta Cole, who was gunned down after a brief drug-related argument. Cooper then attempted to shoot 24-year-old Eric Powell of Eagle Springs but the gun jammed. Cooper is being held in the Moore county Detention Center without bond.
