Woman facing multiple charges after plant theft

A 35-year-old Carthage Woman has been charged with larceny, resisting a police officer, carrying a concealed weapon and drug possession. Christy Pearson was spotted behind the wheel of her car loitering near the Pinehurst Traffic Circle in the wee hours Thursday Morning. Caught with the goods in the back seat, she confessed ot uprooting 87 flower plants decorating the approaches ot the traffic circle. In addition ot the flowers, Pinehurst Police confiscated a machete and two bags of prescription pills. An effort to elude the arresting officer failed.
