Southern Pines man faces serious charges

The Southern Pines Police Department announces the arrest of Aifreato Delional Bass, 30 years of age, of Southern Pines, on the charges of felony B&E of a motor vehicle, felony financial card theft, felony obtaining property by false pretense, and misdemeanor larceny.   

This arrest stems from an investigation by both the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of the Southern Pines Police Department into a vehicle breaking and entering incident that took place at 290 West Pennsylvania Avenue Southern Pines.

These incidents occurred on January 25, 2012 between 6:00 pm and 9:57 pm. The investigation conducted by the Southern Pines Police Department discovered both the victim’s wallet and credit cards had been stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

The follow up investigation revealed that one of the stolen credit cards had been used by Aireato Delional Bass at a local gas station just prior to the report being filed.

Bass appeared before a Moore County Magistrate and was remanded to the Moore County Jail under $5,000.00 secured bond pending a hearing on March 7, 2012 in Moore County District Court.
