A Moped/Scooter driver received minor injuries today when he laid down his Scooter sliding across the asphalt to avoid hitting a much larger car.

The accident occurred on US Highway 1 at the intersection of Roseland Road in Aberdeen. This wreck was one of more than half a dozen vehicle accidents that occurred on US 1 in Aberdeen today within a few hour time period.

Responding to the Scooter Accident were units from Aberdeen Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, the Aberdeen Police Department, and the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
