Burger King robbed, suspect description released

The person wanted in connection with the Saturday night robbery of Burger King in Aberdeen is described as a slender black male in his 20’s approximately 5’ 9” tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, a medium brown complexion with small almond shaped dark brown eyes.

According to Aberdeen Police Captain Wilson the robber was wearing dark pants, a dark color shirt with a zip up fleece type jacket. He was wearing gloves and had pulled a dark color toboggan over his face with the eyes cut out. The person was armed with a small handgun.

The robber entered the business after closing as the manager and one other employee were finishing up the nights work. The second employee saw what was happening with the manager and bolted out of a side door escaping from the robber. The manager was taken at gun point back to the office where the person grabbed an undisclosed amount of money, before exiting the rear of the building. Police K-9 units were brought in and trailed the robber to the edge of Poplar Street where authorities believe he may have had a car waiting.

The Saturday robbery was caught on video tape, and the person responsible now faces serious armed robbery and kidnapping charges as a result of this crime. Anyone with any information on this crime should contact the Aberdeen Police Department or call 911.
