Aberdeen woman charged with child neglect

A 50-year-old Aberdeen Woman has been accused of child neglect for leaving her two grandchildren home alone while she went to work. Marilyn Ryner told authorities that her daughter and the mother of the children was supposed to have been watching the four-year-old girl and nine-month-old boy. The younger woman explained that she was away all night and couldn’t find a ride home in the morning. The grandmother left for work at 5:30 AM. Moore County Department Of Social Services Workers, acting on a complaint, arrived at the house six hours later, around 11 o’clock. The older child told authorities they had been home alone since the grandmother left for work. Bail was set at $5,000.00. The daughter was not charged.
