Two familiar names bringing in Dunkin' Donuts

Two Former executives at Pinehurst Resort, who spent years running one of the nation’s most popular golf destinations, are bent on making a success of the donut business. Pat Corso is the Former President of Pinehurst Resort, Ken Baer its Chief Financial Officer, this week, the partners announced their first acquisition, a vacant service station in Fayetteville, soon to be the flagship location for four Dunkin Donuts franchises operated by Pinehurst Donuts L-L-C. The store is due ot open in March. Corso and Baer are also partners in Pinehurst-based National Resort Management Incorporated. According to Baer, their startup donut company is negotiating for property In Aberdeen. Franchises in Spring Lake and Hope Mills are under consideration. Corso, who is 61, was recently installed as Executive Director of Partners In Progress, a non-profit economic development organization that specializes in bringing new business to Moore County. He is expected to remain in that position.
