One bridge down and more to go for Robbins

As the Village of Whispering Pines celebrates the completion of 675 thousand dollars in repairs to Cardinal Lake Dam, Seven Lakes is debating whether repairs are necessary to its own Echo Dam. The Cardinal Lake Dam has taken more than five years to complete and must still pass muster by inspectors from The State Department Of Environment and Natural Resources. It’s a different story in Seven Lakes where the President of The Seven Lakes Landowners association worries about a plume of murky water. “ The problem is,” says Association President Bob Darr, “we don’ t really know what the problem is. And frankly, that is quite scary.” Although engineers blame manufacturing drains buried along the faces of Echo Dam, Studies continue.
