A series of wells could solve water problems
The Town Of Robbins, which has been flirting with Moore County over the possible sale of its under-utilized water system, is investigating the feasibility of ditching Moore as a suitor and instead employing a series of wells to suit its needs. U-S Department Of Agriculture Representatives were said to be in Robbins yesterday to answer questions about the availability of funds for such a project. Presumably, if the U-S-D-A’s talks are encouraging, the next step would be to proceed with cost estimates. Such talks would be seen by county negotiators as worrisome, tempting them to pursue other avenues like those advanced recently by County Planner Randy Gould.
