Possible tornado touchdown in CCNC

Several downed trees are the markers of what some believe was a tornado touchdown on the course at CCNC this morning.  Residents reported hearing what sounded like a train and then began to hear trees snapping and "all heck breaking loose".  It is possible that the damge was caused by straight line winds but regardless of the cause the good news is that no homes were damaged and no one was injured.  It is expected to take 4 to 5 days to clear the debris. These storms are a result of the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee which hit landfall over the Labor Day Weekend.
