Assistant Moore County District Attorney Peter Strickland told the court that Neal overdosed on prescription Medication Sunday July 31st. She was treated At Moore Regional Hospital and released the following Tuesday. Defense Attorney Jonathan Megerian demanded the right to review Neal’s medical records before proceeding. Neal is named as a defendant in a lawsuit brought against Pinelake Health And Rehabilitation Center by family members of some of the eight victims shot to death by Stewart two years ago. They claim Neal alerted the nursing home that Stewart was a threat, but that the facility took no action to protect Patients. Earlier Wednesday a state medical examiner described in bloody detail the wounds suffered by some of the nursing home shooting victims. Because discovery by the defense is expected to take days, Neal is not expected to testify before next Monday.Surprise information that the former wife of Confessed Mass-murderer Robert Stewart attempted suicide ten days ago kept Wanda Neal off the witness stand yesterday.
