A public hearing to consider whether or not to make room for bed and breakfasts in the Village of Pinehurst has been postponed until fall.
Greg Owen is asking the planning and zoning board for a text amendment to turn a large private residence into one for overnight guests.
His idea has run afoul of strong local opposition.
The home, facing Barrett Road on the corner of Buelah Hill Road, was built in the early days of the 20th century by one James Barber.
It was later owned by the Catholic Church and used as a convent for nuns.
A public hearing, scheduled for august 5th has been put off until September 2nd because Owen says he will be out of town until then.
