Moore County Army vet laid to rest |

Funeral services today for Angus Kelly…The 78-year-old Army Veteran who bravely traded shots with three young bandits attempting to orb a Vass convenience store with his wife inside.
Kelly was airlifted to U-N-C Hospitals in Chapel Hill where he has died of gunshot wounds sustained in the gun battle two weeks ago.
Angus Kelly was shot twice ni the chest.
His74-year-old wife, Grace, a clerk ending her shift behind the convenience store counter, was treated for a gunshot wound in her right arm.
The men, Randy Williams, Leroy Medley and DeMarcus Dennison will now find themselves accused of murder.
A fourth suspect, Paris Mack, who fled in the getaway car, was also taken into custody and charged.
Kelly, who retired as a animal control officer after spending most of his life on the farm, is survived by his wife of 57 years, a son and a daughter.
