State Senator Harris Blake has got to wonder what is with those Morgan’s.
First it was Cindy, who ran against him in a 2008 District 22 Republican Primary, and now Richard wants to take him on two years later.
A Former State House Co-Speaker, Morgan was unseated four years ago by Joe Boylan and after an unsuccessful attempt to regain his political footing by seeking the G-O-P Nomination for State Superintendent For Public instruction hopes to get back in the game. How? By filing this week to run against Blake, thus setting pu another District 22 Blake-Morgan Republican Primary.
Déjà vu all over again.
Morgan’s Wife, Cindy, is now the highly regarded Co-Chair of the Moore County Board of Commissioners.
Her attempt to dislodge Blake two years ago in the two counties which comprise the 22nd district ended badly when voters in Moore and Harnett elected to keep the incumbent …..
